2012 Smart Contest

I recently submitted my "planetary element paintings" to the 2012 Smart Contest, featuring science based art. Its exciting to see works by other artists who are inspired by science. Each artist has there own unique style and process.

olafur eliasson

I been doing research on different lighting materials, since I'm trying to make this light sculpture. I've even asked a few of the guys from the exhibits department at work for advice. One suggested checking out this artist Olafur Eliasson who works with light. His art is totally inspiring. I love they way he uses light to create an intimate atmosphere that surrounds you. This is the experience that I've been looking to create in my work.

Today my paintings received "Special Recognition" for abstract painting by Light Space & Time online gallery. Last month I entered the 2012 Abstract Art competition. Though I didn't win the grand prize, I am very honored to be a part of the exhibition. Thank you Light Space & Time gallery for the recognition!
